The next release of DPO Ready Center adds a Journal, improves photos in every module, and adds video journaling. The point is the same as the rest of the system. You write it down once, you can find it later, and you can still open it when the power or the network is not there.

**The Journal**

A readiness journal is not a diary for its own sake. It is the record of what you did, what worked, and what you would do differently.

Use it for a range day, a 72-hour camp-out with the kit, a storm, a meal you cooked from stores, a drill, or a note you do not want to trust to memory. Each entry has a title, a date, a written note, photos, and, when you need it, video.

**Tie an entry to something you already track**

An entry does not have to sit alone. You can relate it to a firearm, a food item, an essential, or a checklist.

A cleaning note can sit with that rifle. A “we cooked this from the bucket” entry can sit with that food. A first-aid refresher can sit with the kit. An after-action note can sit with the checklist you actually used. Later, you open the gun, the food, the kit, or the list and the journal is already there.

**Photos, in every module**

Photos are easier to add and easier to review across firearms, ammunition, food stores, other essentials, maintenance, and the journal. A picture of the serial number, the bucket label, the kit as packed, or the meal as served is part of the record, not a file lost in a camera roll.

**Video journaling**

Some things are clearer on video than in a paragraph.

- How you prepare one of your stored meals, start to finish, so someone else in the house can do it.
- A walk-through of a go-bag or a checklist.
- A short after-action from a drill or a range session.
- A skill you want available offline: water treatment, a medical step you have trained, a maintenance step on a firearm you own.

That is readiness analysis and instruction in one place. You are not filming for an audience. You are leaving a record your household can play back without a browser.

**Encryption**

Video can be encrypted. A journal of training, household routines, or what you keep in the house is not something that needs to sit in the open. Encryption stays on your machine, with your data, under your password. It is optional. Use it when the entry should not be readable by anyone who happens to copy the file.

**Why a license matters, and why lifetime matters more**

The community edition is there so you can see the system and start the habit. A license is the product you keep.

Lifetime is the version of that choice that matches how this program is built. Preparedness is not a one-time download. The Journal, the photo work, video, Document Center, and the releases still in front of us are continued upgrades. A lifetime license means those upgrades and support stay with you. You are not renting the record of your own readiness, and you are not waiting on a subscription to open what you already wrote down.

October 26 is the anticipated date. If you already have a lifetime license, this release is part of what that license is for.
